Live • Laugh • Love

Three simple words to live by.

This time of year is always fresh with new beginnings, closing out the year behind us and moving into the year ahead – a blank slate, just waiting for us to come fill it in. We get excited.  We started to think about what we didn’t accomplish and what we’d like to accomplish, we make lists, we set forth our resolutions – we steel our RESOLVE to reach our goals. Then real life gets in the way and our resolve weakens….as Mike Tyson says, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.”

So I thought we’d take a different approach in 2013 and in lieu of New Year’s Resolutions, let’s simplify things and choose just three words to guide us in the year ahead. Three words to help give some direction and intention to the next 52 weeks.

I got this idea a couple years ago from Chris Brogan, you can check out his 2013 post on this idea (he does a great job of setting this up as a framework for your life vision and goals).

In 2011, I went with Love, Abundance, Fearless. In 2012, I didn’t do it. I missed it, so I’m bringing it back for 2013.
